Brewer cartoon making rounds on Internet

PHOENIX - A cartoon of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is making its way around the Internet.

The image is a homage to the Rosie the Riveter propaganda posters from World War II.

Brewer's spokesman Paul Senseman says Brewer is flattered by the apparent show of support for signing Arizona's new anti-illegal immigration law.

"It shows her with a little bandana on. It shows she's workin'. And she's got her blue collar on and she's working hard . . . and got her sleeved rolled up and doin' some of the dirty work that hasn't been done in quite some time."

It shows the governor smiling and flexing a muscle, with the caption "Arizona: Doing the Job the Feds Won't Do."

The image is called "AZ Riveter" and is being made available on t-shirts, bumper stickers and more through a Cafe Press Web site.
