EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Authorities say three British undercover agents are meeting with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents in Texas and Florida to learn about investigation techniques and tactics to battle drug cartels making inroads in Europe.
Three agents from the Serious Organised Crime Agency of the United Kingdom started their two-week visit in El Paso to learn about surveillance tactics and special operations. The agents go to Miami next week to learn about port operations there.

ICE Assistant Special Agent in Charge Oscar Hagelsieb says U.S. investigators are well-equipped to train their British counterparts.

The British agency was created in 2006 and investigates drug trafficking, criminal organizations, cybercrime, counterfeiting, the use of firearms and serious robberies.
