Sorry to inform you of this, Bush, but you have zero credibility on issues involving trade. Hmmm........actually you have zero credibility on most issues.
It definitely appears that way, MW.

Certainly on trade and illegal immigration.....that's for sure.

Alarmed by slipping support for free trade even among Republicans, President Bush is arguing that protectionism will cut Americans out of chances for more — and better — jobs.
This has been his argument for too long. All of this free trade crap has netted us nothing but job loss and even worse jobs via outsourcing. Bush is either way out of touch, doesn't have the businees knowledge of what he is trying to do, or he's just plain lying. I think its the latter.

"I know many Americans feel uneasy about new competition and worry that trade will cost jobs," Bush said. "So the federal government is providing substantial funding for trade adjustment assistance that helps Americans make the transition from one job to the next. We are working to improve federal job-training programs. And we are providing strong support for America's community colleges, where people of any age can go to learn new skills for a better, high-paying career."

WHY WILL AMERICANS NEED SUBSTANTIAL FUNDING FOR TRADE ADJUSTMENT ASSISTANCE TO HELP THEM MAKE THE TRANSISTION FROM ONE JOB TO THE NEXT? THE ONLY REASON AMERICANS WOULD NEED THIS TYPE OF ASSISTANCE IS IF THEY ARE GOING TO LOSE THEIR JOB. WHAT JOB WILL THEY END UP WITH? WILL THIS ASSISTANCE MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT THEY GOT PAID ON THEIR OLD JOB AND WHAT THE NEW JOB WILL PAY? WHAT IF THEY DONT WANT ANOTHER JOB? WHAT IF THEY WANT THE JOB THEY ALREADY HAVE?

This is just lip service. The 'help' that Americans would recieve would not only be available to citizens, but also to illegals. This help for Americans to make the transition from one job to the next will be treated and acted upon like Duncan Hunter's fence--no will to proceed. Bush is not a President by any practical sense of the word..he is a dictator working for the coporate elites and is a traitor and a sell-out. He needs to be impeached and imprisoned. Problem is that there are no guts and itegrity in Congress. Damn his administration, damn Congress.. the whole basket is rotten.. throw it all out in '08.
