HOUSTON – President George W. Bush told a group of Texas reporters Friday that he regretted immigration policies were not reformed while he was in office.

"I'm very disappointed that it didn't pass," he said in an interview with correspondents from his home state. "I'm very worried about the message that said, 'Republicans are anti-immigrant.'"

Bush said he wanted a comprehensive immigration plan "not for political standing or for Latinos, but because it was best for the country," the Houston Chronicle reported in its online edition Friday.

The outgoing president said that in hindsight he should have pushed his immigration proposal soon after the 2004 election, rather than after partisan squabbling over Social Security began.

The best thing for this country is to deport every single illegal immigrant and their anchor babies. Amnesty is just rewarding lawbreakers.

Bush couldn't care less about the plight of the illegals coming to this country. He doesn't even care about the actual citizen's of this country. He is totally corrupt in everyway. He care's about his wealth and the wealth of all his fat cat friends!! He needs to be in jail along with the scammer Madoff! He is a crook and a lier and I can't hardley wait for him to leave office. I don't like Obama either, but Bush has done so much damage to this country that I'm afraid of what else he want's to do next to ruin us. He really is evil.

I want to hear him say he regrets what he has done to Ramos and Compean and their families but I won't hold my breath on that one.

He really should fade quietly--into the oblivion he earned. I sincerely believe he has protected America from acts of terrorism. At the same time, his global economy, open borders ideas have cause more harm, (and thanks to criminal illegal immigrants), the deaths of as many or more innocent Americans). I believe the emotional and financial harm he has brought to his fellow citizens far outweigh any of his few accomplishments.

He will probably move to South America. I understand he has a huge piece of property down there.

To me, this article makes it clear that Bush is signaling Obama to move quickly on passing Amnesty.

It appears that Obama is reluctant to move on the issue in the first of his administration out of fear it will incapacitate him politically. This is true. If Obama moves on Amnesty early, he will be unable to get much more done after that win or lose.

Bush, McCain, and Obama all serve the same Globalist masters.

They have asked Bush to try and get the Obama horse out of the barn early on Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty and he is signally Obama he should move fast.
