Pineville Police Have Person Of Interest In Hit-And-Run Crash
POSTED: 2:49 pm EST February 23, 2007
UPDATED: 6:15 pm EST February 23, 2007
PINEVILLE, N.C. -- Pineville police believe they may have found the man responsible for seriously injuring a woman in a hit-and-run accident early Thursday.
Adela Diaz-Sanchez, 29, was walking to work at a nearby hotel along Willow Ridge Road when she was hit by a red pickup truck that left the scene around 7:30 a.m., authorities said.
Investigators analyzed debris at the scene and thought the truck might be a Ford F150. They said the crash broke off the passenger’s side mirror and probably did damage to the right front turn signal.
Police began checking the tag numbers of people who live in the neighborhood where the victim was hit and discovered resident Misael Gregorio Pablo owns a red Ford F150. According to authorities, Pablo was recently charged with driving while impaired and also had outstanding warrants. His license was also revoked.
Officers found Pablo, but not the truck. They said the man would not tell them where to find the vehicle, so they charged him with obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and delaying an investigation.
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office informed Pineville police that Pablo is in the country illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents said he had a deportation hearing scheduled for March 7.
He has not been charged in the hit-and-run crash.
Diaz-Sanchez has been discharged from Carolinas Medical Center. Her husband said she is recovering at home with him and their 2-month-old daughter. He said she is temporarily death.
Officers are still trying to find Pablo’s truck. The tag number is VRM-4850. Anyone who sees the vehicle is urged to call police.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Decision time.
Lawful person:
Stop, render aid, seek help, and be responsible for my actions.
Unlawful person:
Run! My enjoyment of the spoils of my illegal acts outweighs the rights of all others to continue living their life.

Illegal Immigrant Not Charged With Hit-And-Run In Pineville Case
POSTED: 3:38 pm EDT March 13, 2007
PINEVILLE, N.C. -- Pineville investigators say they do not have enough evidence to charge a driver in connection with a hit-and-run crash, and time is running out to collect it.
They believe a Ford F150 belonging to Misael Pablo is the truck that hit Adela Diaz Sanchez while she walked down Willow Ridge Road last month.
Pablo remains in jail on driving while impaired charges tied to the wreck.
On Tuesday prosecutors took the case to the district attorney, who could have filed hit-and-run charges. Instead the district attorney decided there is not enough evidence to determine Pablo was behind the wheel when Sanchez was hit.
Pablo is set to be deported by June.
If no one comes forward with evidence by then, he will not be charged with hit-and-run for the crash.
