Bush wants $1.4B to secure the borders...for Mexico

The White House wants a $1.4 billion stimulus/national security package…for Mexico

[quote]A reader asked me to check into information that President Bush was pushing a massive foreign-aid package to Mexico to help them secure their southern border against the flow of illegal aliens from Central America.

The plan is called “The Merida Initiative.â€

Apparently it is burried deep in a Iraq war funding bill.. What a cover to slip all kinds of spending thru without much oversight.

Why would we send government that has clearly said it does not want immigration law enforced?Mexico admits it has corruption and this money could be used to build fence -they could hire hundreds of crews and have it up in a couple of months -bet some of you contractors out there that visit this sight who use legal labor could use those contracts and put that 1.4 billion back into the economy -labors,materials,businesses that make and supply materials, food places that feed labors, people who make, sell, supply the machines, surveyors and the lives and money and lives saved with erected fence all are pluses.Stimulate our economy, not cave in to a form of terrorism that says"if you do not give us labor we will flood your counrty with even more workers, drugs, etc

We need to keep the money here in the states and have United States Citizens building it. This is crazy.
