11 Aircraft Assigned to Northern Border

August 11, 2008 (Detroit) – Eleven aircraft will be assigned to Customs and Border Protection’s new Great Lakes Air and Marine Branch for a full range of air and ground interdiction efforts aimed at dismantling human smuggling and narcotics trafficking along the northern border.

"During the last four years CBP has been enhancing the security of the northern border by increasing its air and marine presence. Today we are commemorating the establishment of these operations to secure the last 863 miles of the border," said Eric Rembold, Director of Aviation Operations.

Don't we need additional aircraft and boots along our Sourthern Border as well?

No. Both Canada and Mexico are recognized "Drug Exporting Nations" Eh?

I am so glad DHS have even noticed we have a northern border, as well as those watery ones east and west, something that popular media doesn't really notice often. Of course, there isn't a full-fledged war going on in Canada.
Yes, we need the entire military lining the southern border, but remember there is that fabulous fence full of holes.

ABOUT TIME AND THE AIR ABOVE; CATCH THEM, DEPORT AND CLOSE THE BORDERS....

Thats good. But I am more concerned about the southern border.

We could use the entire Air Force on the southern border.
