"We have to compete with jobs being outsourced overseas, and at home we have to compete with illegal aliens," she said. "No one is standing up for us."
This sums it up right here. Oberlin will open up a can of worms if they invite more illegals in. Believe me, they will rue the day if they allow this. Once the IAs get in, all the raids possible will not ever be enough.

Pretty stuipd move, since other cities are being sued for wrongful death due to sanctuary policies.

Comments can be left at the Chronicle Telegram link, and if anyone can go there and leave comments, I would surely appreciate it. Registration is required, but it's easy, as I'm sure you all know.

There are a few people posting there and I'm trying to get them to do something besides talk.

I don't know how many times I've read (mostly on ALIPAC, where I read almost daily), "follow the money"...I just have to figure out who's benefitting from this besides the illegals. I know schools get more money for more students, but other than that I can't figure out what's going on here, except that Oberlin is a college town. They appear to think they're morally and intellectually superior to the rest of the county...their resolution, which I believe was written by Oberlin College students even mentioned Berkley...that should tell you how they feel about illegal immigration/immigrants/sanctuary.

One coucilman, Ashenhurst, hammered their Police Chief at the meeting repeatedly about, "What about these other sanctuary cities?"...he kept pointing out that they don't seem to have a problem. At that point Chief Miller pointed out that he had talked to other Police Chiefs in the area and that they were ALL against sanctuary.

So, I wish someone could help me figure out what the benefit is here because, other than Casa Fiesta getting cheap labor, along with probably some other businesses, I'll be darned if I can figure it out!

A couple of weeks ago, on a radio station in Cleveland, which is nearby, they had "open mike" night and illegal immigration was the topic. The DJ there, who's name escapes me right now, is VERY against illegal immigration, spoke to a gentleman from Columbus, Ohio, who said his wife had been an illegal alien who worked for a Casa Fiesta down there and she was given the option of an hourly salary or her tips, but told that she could not have both. He said those of them who opted for an hourly salary did have to give up their tips every day!! That's illegal too!

Oh...never mind. I forgot myself! These people have no problem with what's legal vs. what's illegal.

    Oh my gosh!!

Will some of you who are a lot smarter than I am in this fight (which probably is any of you! lol)please go to the Chronicle Telegram link above and debate with this knucklehead who calls him/herself "JustTheFacts"?

They've posted all kinds of links that tell us supposedly how safe areas overrun with illegals are!!

When I go there and log in, it goes to a page that says, if I remember correctly, "page not available"...I just hit the back button, which takes me to my profile page and I "enter" as if I've changed something on my profile, which then says I'm now logged in. Then I have to go to the Chronicle homepage and search "Oberlin Sanctuary" to get me to the article.

    Oberlin may amend sanctuary proposal

    Cindy Leise | The Chronicle-Telegram

OBERLIN — A controversial proposal to make Oberlin Ohio’s first sanctuary city for illegal immigrants could be amended to allow police the ability to inquire about immigration status, according to City Manager Eric Norenberg.

Simply banning police from discussing the matter “removed any flexibility for officers in the field,â€
