A Mexican national faces alien smuggling charges after Border Patrol agents found dozens of undocumented immigrants hiding in his travel trailer.

On Sunday, Border Patrol agents stopped a suspicious truck about 25 miles from Calexico.

The driver and passenger didn't have legal documentation to be in the United States legally.

Agents searched the truck and the trailer and found 38 undocumented immigrants crowded into the trailer.

The driver was arrested and is being held at a detention center in Arizona.

Border Patrol also arrested a member of a violent gang.

This also happened on Sunday about 11 miles west of Calexico when he tried to cross the border.

Agents discovered he's from El Salvador and is a convicted aggravated felon with an extensive criminal history.

He's also a member of the organization known as Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13).

He's being held at the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service Processing Center.
