CA: Dozens Of Immigrant Students Removed From SoCal School
Now this is a surprise. There was a time all students had to prove they resided within the school district but that seems to have been abandoned by many schools here. Good for Calexico.

Dozens Of Immigrant Students Removed From SoCal School

CALEXICO, Calif. -- The Calexico Unified School District removed dozens of children from public schools this week under a policy that aims to ensure all students live within district boundaries.
District officials said they asked all 10,000 students to prove residency by Wednesday under the policy adopted last year. Dozens of students were kicked out as a result.
Jorge Fuentes, whose 7-year-old grandson was told to leave Blanche Charles Elementary School, said his family was unfairly punished.
The boy and his mother are U.S. citizens, but the mother, who is living with her parents, was unable to prove that she was a homeowner or renting. And she couldn't come up with a utility bill with her name on it.
"We've lived here legally for 18 years; we shouldn't be penalized for people who come from (Mexico) and attend public schools in Calexico," Fuentes said.
"We're not interested in a student's citizenship status or their legal status here in our district," Superintendent David Alvarez said.
"What the law requires us to do is verify whether a student lives in the Calexico school district boundaries or not."
Taxpayers have repeatedly urged the district to make sure students do not cross the border from Mexico.

Several times we have been shown students crossing the border to attend school in America and no one stopped them. It is much like the border near Yuma where buses of women who are in labor cross so that their babies can be born in America. Border babies are not even mentioned in the so call compromise.

They've probably had a belly full and have decided to react.

It's about time. They have been flaunting that in our faces on the news long enough. I'm glad someone is doing something. Just another baby step, but it's a step.
