With each van able to carry 14 passengers, a weekly $25 fare per rider is expected to generate enough for the program to become self-sufficient after three years.

SO THEY MAKE 42,000 BUCKS A WEEK FROM THOSE FARM WORKERS....AND THEY NEED MORE VANS SO IT WILL EVEN BE MORE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THATS A LOT OF MONEY. ARE THEY GOING TO PAYBACK THE TAXPAYERS FOR BUYING THEM THE VANS? UMMMM...NO IT DOESNT SEEM LIKE THEY ARE. WE PAY FOR THE VANS AND THEY MAKE THE MONEY. HE HE. THATS SWEET. AND THE CHERRY ON THE CAKE.....ITS ONLY FOR FARM WORKERS NOT ANYONE ELSE. ARE THEY TOO GOOD TO TAKE A PUBLIC BUS OR WHAT?
They won't repay the tax-payers--in 3 years when they "become self-sufficient", they will 'need' new vans. This van transportation for illegals is both racist and discrimination and should be paid for the by the farmers who hire the illegals--they are already saving money by hiring the illegals. What next--a special highway lane for illegal alien-pooling vans?

I have yet to see pictures of port-a-potties in the background of fields--do farmers provide them for the workers for their long work-days? That is a worrisome health concern considering the recent recalls of fresh produce due to e coli.

I suspect very few if any will actually pay the $25 a week fee. It seems anything that involves illegals inevitably contains a 'hardship clause' so that if it is 'difficult' for them to pay they don't have to. After all, that is $25 more they can send back to Mexico each week.
