3 men killed in Juarez dance club parking lot on Monday

Three men were shot and killed early Monday in the parking lot of a Juarez dance club in the second deadly shooting in the city's nightlife in less than a week.

The men were getting into a sport utility vehicle when they were shot and killed before 3:30 a.m. outside the Onix dance club on Paseo Triunfo de la Republica in the north part of the city.

Chihuahua state police identified one of the slain men as Rigoberto de la O Gallegos, 30, but the two other men had not been identified. Investigators collected six bullet casings.

On Friday, five men were fatally shot inside the Amsterdam bar in the ProNaF tourist zone near the Bridge of the Americas. Two of the men died at the bar. The other three died in the restroom, police said

Those five victims were identified as Alejandro Olmos Montes,18; Rogelio Montes Garcia, 37; Jorge Mendoza Espinoza, 21; Jose Arturo Irene Ronquillo, 29; and Mario Torres Gonzalez, 25.

The Amsterdam massacre was among 13 homicides on Friday. There have been more than 1,000 murders in the Ju·rez area so far this year.
