SC: Landscaping Business Cited for Illegal Immigrant Violati

Landscaping Business Cited for Illegal Immigrant Violation

    Myrtle Beach, SC

A landscaping business in Murrells Inlet has been cited for violating South Carolina's illegal immigration law.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported that LC Landscaping & Maintenance is accused of knowingly and willingly employing illegal workers.

State officials began investigating in October after getting a complaint.

A settlement agreement says owner Craig Collins admitted knowing employees were not authorized to work in the United States.

    Collins would not comment.

The agreement says the company has now fired all workers who are not authorized to work in the U.S. The company must also pay a $250 reinstatement fee.

It's the second South Carolina company so far cited since a new law took effect July 1. The other was a Mexican restaurant in the Columbia area.

Come to Virginia Marble Manufacturing plants here in Virginia and I.C.E will pick up over 300 illegal workers at the plants. The plant manger knows most of his employees are not legal to employ jobs; however, he employs immigrants without following workplace laws. Legal citizens are turned away whenever they apply for work positions and later van loads of illegal aliens are employed, after others get arrested for different lawbreaking matters or move on to other cities and towns.

250.00 fine. No wonder all the landscape companies in Ca use illegals.

I think the Chamber of Commerce is strong in South Carolina and of course they have Senator Amnesty Graham.
