OCEANSIDE — A traffic stop lead to the seizure of $2.1 million worth of methamphetamine and cocaine Thursday morning.

Ricardo Lujan, a San Ysidro resident, was charged in federal court today with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance after an Oceanside police canine discovered his Mitsubishi Endeavor SUV filled with 89.50 kilograms of cocaine and 68.90 kilograms of meth during a random vehicle registration check at a Denny's restaurant today at 12:40 a.m.

The suspect told police he was headed to Long Beach but when he began to behave nervously, police asked for and received permission to search his vehicle, authorities said.

One hundred and fifty seven vacuum-sealed and brick packages were hidden under the carpet of the rear passenger seat as well as inside the rear passenger seat door, according to a compliant filed by Drug Enforcement Agency.
