To stem nursing shortage, state plans to send bilingual students to Mexico, but some say money would be better spent in California

With nursing schools in California falling several thousand graduates short of meeting demand each year, state labor officials are seeking help in an unlikely place.

If all goes as planned, as many as 40 bilingual Californians now stuck on nursing school waiting lists will begin classes in January at a college in Guadalajara, Mexico – apparently the first attempt by any state to outsource nursing education to another country.

Program supporters say it's a reasonable way to train more Californians, especially those who can work in communities that need more Spanish-speaking health care workers.

I can see the rush for the Border for this Golden opportunity! Get it while its hot!

Is there someway for the other 49 states to vote Kalifornia out of the Union altogether? This is total BS! This just goes to show the "progressive" thinking of our current educators. Is nursing to become a job Americans will no longer do in the near future? Perhaps outsourcing of nursing education will fit right in with Hitlery's plan for socializing our health programs.

California were everything happens first, New York where everything happens fast, to the rest of the states do not think you are immune. I'm shocked at how fast the invasion has spread to other states, like a cancer.

Californians are working hard on illegal immigration too.

With Hilarious's national health care, we will all be assigned a Mexican nurse and doctor, in Tijuana.

Maybe they should pay a little more or lighten the nurses patient loads.
