CA-San Jose records first killing of 2012
Five days into 2012, San Jose on Thursday recorded its first homicide of the year after a shooting hat may have been gang-related.
Officers found an unidentified man who had been shot on the 200 block of Alexander Avenue, just east of Interstate 680, around 8:30 p.m., police said. Paramedics gave him an ambulance ride to Regional Medical Center, where he died about a half-hour later.
No arrests have been made and police had no immediate suspect descriptions.
No further details were released Thursday, but detectives say the shooting may have been gang-motivated.
It was the first homicide in the city since Dec. 30, when police say Sagal Sadiq used a machete to hack her wife's mother to death in Willow Glen -- the 41st killing of 2011.

Well that didn't take long. The majority of the 41 murders from last year were also gang related. San Jose is looking more and more like mexico every year.
