California Sanctuary Cities Squealing For Federal Anti-Gang Funds

Fox 35 News out of Salinas, Monterey and Santa Cruz, reported yesterday morning that the city of Salinas and Monterey County are requesting financial assistance from the federal government to combat gang violence in their area. Sam Farr, the Congressional representative of California’s 17th district has stated that he will do his part to make sure that the federal government comes across with the money.

Combating gang violence is a worthwhile cause and I would endorse anything the police needed to eliminate street gangs up to and including small tactical nuclear weapons, however, in the case of Salinas and Monterey Country the federal government should deny their request and offer the eight million dollars they requested to some other city in the nation that hasn’t exacerbated the problem of gang violence with sanctuary policies favoring the illegal aliens who make up more than 65% of the states criminal street gangs.

Former Salinas mayor, Anna Caballero, (now the Democratic Assemblywoman for Salinas) initiated the sanctuary policy for the city of Salinas when she stopped the city’s law enforcement officers from asking their apprehended suspects and jail inmates any questions about their immigration status. The Salinas city council has never rescinded that order and during a September 19th meeting of the Salinas city Council, council Member Sergio Sanchez proposed a resolution that would prevent city resources and employees from assisting federal officials in enforcing immigration law.

Santa Cruz, Monterey’s northern neighbor, and the nearby town of Watsonville (all within the 17th Congressional district) have passed official sanctuary policies, and while the city of Salinas and Monterey County’s sanctuary status has never actually been put into writing, the cities de-facto sanctuary policies are well known by residents frustrated by the increasing crime rate and lack of immigration enforcement. More than 40 criminal alien sex offenders have been apprehended by Immigrations & Customs Enforcement agents in the Monterey County area since May of 2006. Gang violence, widespread drug use, drive by shootings and other crimes have been increasing out of control and all of these crimes can be directly related to the high population of illegal aliens attracted to the area as a result of the existing sanctuary policies and yet the legal citizens and registered voters who live there continue to vote for the same illegal alien pandering liberal politicians who refuse to do anything about the problems.

Salinas and Monterey, like Santa Cruz, Watsonville and the other 26 sanctuary cities in the state of California have encouraged millions of criminal aliens to flock to their cities before spreading out to the rest of the country. They opened their doors wide to legions of pedophiles, rapists, murderers and thieves, and now they want federal tax money because they are inundated with gang violence. They don’t need federal assistance, they need a lobotomy, and while they are getting their heads fixed they should be sterilized before they can get loose and contaminate the rest of the country (worse than it is) with their stupidity.

Don't come looking at me to take care of it for you, maybe you can ask one of your illegal immigrant maids if she can smooth the sheets for you. personally, i would just boot them all out and tear up your sanctuary city papers. AND YOU CAN SOON ADD SAN FRANCISCO TO THAT LIST. I SEE INCREASING NUMBERS HANGING OUT ON THE STREET CORNER. NOW THAT IT IS GETTING TIGHT EVERYWHERE ELSE, THEY ARE GRAVITATING TOWARDS SANCTUARY CITIES.

Ever hear of can't have your cake and eat it too? What's the point of giving these sanctuary cities money when they're a magnet for more illegal gang members? More tax payer money down the drown? No thank you, enough is enough already. They made their bed now they can lie in it.
