CA: Steve Poizner to tour border Monday

Steve Poizner to tour border Monday

    Sunday, May 9, 2010

SAN YSIDRO – Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Poizner is scheduled to tour the U.S.-Mexico border crossing at San Ysidro Monday, coinciding with the release of a new television commercial focusing on his immigration plan and support for Arizona’s recently adopted anti-illegal immigration law.

Poizner, the state’s insurance commissioner, has called for eliminating government-funded benefits to illegal immigrants and requiring local law enforcement to report those who are arrested to federal authorities.

Poizner’s opponent for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, opposes the Arizona law, saying a better solution would be to first secure the border, put in place an “economic fenceâ€

My two cents, and probably not worth that much, as I'm going mostly on intuition, but I don't trust Meg Whitman. Probably because I think she has to be too closely aligned with global big business and the globalists at the ANTI-U.S. Chamber of Commerce. I think if elected, she will do exactly what her globalist buddies want, not what the American people want.

I think Steve Poizner's strong pro-enforcement stance might be motivated more by politics than principle, but I'd live with that if he at least follows through with his pro-enforcement plans. I think Poizner is more likely to stick to his campaign promises than Whitman is, if elected.

Just watching ABC 7 out of LA.

    Meg Whitman 39 percent

    Steve Poisner 37 percent

Steve is gaining handily on Liberal Whitman
