They have none. If they can come and live here illegally and drive illegally why wouldn't they do that illegally as well. They think that they are above the law. In Miami Dade they are smart with that. You need a license and they are cracking down on those who do not have them. It does not matter if it is food, bottled water, flowers or soda.

In our little neighborhood, the children are not allowed to buy from ice cream vendors because they typically don't have background checks. We don't know if there are child predators among them.

In this day and age of concerns about food poisoning and improperly prepared and inspected food, why would anyone buy hotdogs or corn from a street vendor?

My boys started playing baseball in 2000 and at every single field they ever played on at least one of these "vendors" came by. At the larger field complexes there would be more than a few.

Their carts are mostly homemade crap they load with their goods and bags of ice. I never saw one get hassled by any authority.

Legitimate vendors pay a very large fee for their licenses. In Manhattan 100grand is about average. By the Museum of Natural History it's 200G.

I work football games at the Police Athletic League and some of the black venders want to sell things like slush cups, conch salad, and other things out of coolers. What we do is charge a rental fee for it as it is our property. That way we make money and also make sure they don't sell things our concession stand does. If the trucks show up close by we get rid of them as they need a permit and are not allowed to sell on or around a certain distance of parks. They have a choice leave or else get cited for it.

You're right NoB. I just meant that in their home country, they are all like, "Oh poor me, I cant get a job." Then they come here, and they manage to lie and cheat their way into jobs. Ambitious DOES sound like they worked hard and honestly got their jobs. My bad.

I know pattyk. It wasn't directed at you in a negative sense at all. I understood completely what you meant. I just wanted to provide a more fitting adjective to describe the actions of these criminal invaders, which you so aptly described.
