Border Patrol Truck Damaged In Chase

Nueces County - There was a little bit of extra excitement for a couple Border Patrol agents headed to a chase involving suspected illegal immigrants this afternoon.

The agents tried to take a turn on FM 665 a little too fast for their heavy duty truck.

They skidded off the road and hit a traffic sign that caused significant damage to the back end of the truck. The agents were not injured in the mishap.

The suspected illegals that sparked the chase were caught with the help of a DPS helicopter pilot who flew low over heavy brush on FM 665 near Chapman Ranch Road.

It took almost two hours for Border Patrol agents to flush out the two women and a man who bailed out of a minivan. No word on where they are from.
