Brownsville man jailed for making fake documents

A Brownsville man remains behind bars after being arrested for making fake immigrant documents.

U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Cruz "El Cholo" Hernandez-Perez on Tuesday.

The Brownsville man was allegedly caught delivering a set of fake I-94 documents and social security cards.

Hernandez-Perez told investigators that he made and sold the forged documents for $300 a set.

ICE agents allegedly found an immigration staamp and seal during a a consensual search of Hernandez-Perez's home.

Hernandez-Perez appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Felix Recio in Brownsville on Wednesday where he was ordered to remain in custody until a Nov. 2 hearing.
