CA: Undocumented Head to Accountants to Pay Taxes

Undocumented Head to Accountants to Pay Taxes

For Carlos Rodriguez, a self-declared undocumented immigrant, tax day isn’t about refunds or money he’ll have to pay to the government. It’s about establishing a record.

They're hoping to collect EITC by claiming their children, their nephews and neices and probably the neighbors kids too as their dependents.

Taxpayers who file with an ITIN do not receive social security benefits or the earned income tax credit. But they are eligible for the child tax credit, said Lipman. And if they have dependents in Canada or Mexico, they can claim those, too.
BIG moneymaker for someone who claims multiple "dependents' in mexico or canada, as well as the US. Who's verifying the numbers??? How much is the child tax credit per child now? $1000? $2000?

I'd like to declare my 10 kids in mexico, sign me up!!

Evidently, no one is verifying the numbers. If they were, these people would be being busted left and right on identity theft and fraud charges, never making off with those big fat refunds they walk away with year after year,
