    CAFTA could encourage illegal immigration

    http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?BRD= ... =461&rfi=9

The rocket scientist who wrote this "opinion" piece can't see the forest for the trees, IMO. He/she praises the passage of CAFTA yet concludes "Now that Congress has expanded our opportunities for trade with our southern neighbors, it's time for our representatives and senators to crack down on illegal immigration and develop a rational policy for dealing with those already here."

Must be a distant cousin of Bushie or Foxie.

Our View: CAFTA is a good deal; but its potential for encouraging yet more illegal immigration is a concern.

With considerable arm-twisting by the likes of U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady, R-The Woodlands, Congress finally passed a free-trade pact with Central America that promises to provide American exporters similar advantages to what our Central America trade partners currently enjoy.

But now that is has passed, it makes the need for immigration reform that much more urgent. According to at least one think tank advocating better immigration enforcement, the deal is likely to encourage more, not less, illegal immigration.

The Central American Free Trade Agreement is on balance a good deal for the United States. In fact, it should have passed by a much larger margin than the narrow 217-215 vote in the House.

First, it was only an incremental expansion of free trade, compared with other trade agreements. The annual exports to the United States by the six Central American nations that joined the pact are roughly equal to what Mexico exports every five weeks, according to one analyst.
Most of the products made by the six CAFTA nations already enter the United States duty free; the real benefit of the deal is that it opens the door for more U.S. exports. U.S. farm exports, for example, are expected to increase by $1.5 billion a year.

According to Brady, the White House's point man on the deal, CAFTA promises Texas 3,000 new jobs the first year it is in place and over 16,000 within the first decade, and holds promise as well for the 8th Congressional District he represents.

"It means jobs for Houston, jobs for Texas and jobs for the future," said Brady in a recent press statement. "Central America has been able to sell their goods into America for the past twenty years. Now it's our turn to sell our products to their 44 million customers."

But a critic of U.S. immigration policies warns the deal could encourage yet more illegal immigration. The Center for Immigration Studies has pointed out that the North American Free Trade Agreement actually helped boost illegal immigration from Mexico as increased American farm exports reduced the need for farm labor in Mexico and pushed labor north across the border in a search for jobs.

Given that one of CAFTA's main benefits is increased exports of U.S. farm products, a similar effect can be expected.

Now that Congress has expanded our opportunities for trade with our southern neighbors, it's time for our representatives and senators to crack down on illegal immigration and develop a rational policy for dealing with those already here.

See, here is the PROBLEM with these THINK TANKS. The idiots didn't understand that CAFTA legalizes illegal immigration from Central America.

THAT's WHAT the "free flow of people, labor and goods" clause of the 3600 page road map on how to end the United States called CAFTA meant.

Upon ratification of CAFTA, they can all enter legally claiming a trade pursuit, a labor pursuit or just to haul some item into the United States and can hang around forever waiting for a "back haul".

CAFTA opened the borders to Central America completely.

Why do you think the President gave us the "finger"?

CAFTA is both SHAFTA and a GOTCHA!!

For those wondering why we no longer address the FINGER MAN as Mr. President, this is just one of many reasons.

Why do you think many of us referred to CAFTA as the End of the United States?

Why do you think we pointed out time and time again that YOU as a American Citizen lost control of this entire process when CAFTA was approved by the US Congress? Because any matter hereafter regarding "trade" which involved "free flow of people, labor and goods" into the United States from Central America is NOW CONTROLLED by the World Trade Organization and YOU don't have a damn thing to do about it and there isn't ONE DAMN THING YOU can do about it NOW!!

You don't have enough MS 13 Gang Members from El Salvador? Well, don't worry, thousands are on their way, LEGALLY!!

Why do you think we called it the CAFTA CON?

You've been conned, you've been shafted, you've been hornwaggled, you've been lied to, you've been deceived, you've been dragged into the misery of having no control over our country by CAFTA and the El Presidente of the New Turd World, "Bushey Bomb"!!

But hey, get happy, you'll save a fraction of a cent on every 1000 pounds of sugar you buy!!

The down side of course, is you probably won't have a job.

    HAPPY NOW?!?!?!?!
