American Chamber warns of urgent measures prior to Free Trade
Santo Domingo.- The American Chamber of Commerce yesterday submitted to both chambers of Congress a number of administrative and legislative measures that the country should adopt, within the framework of the Free Trade Agreement with the United States and Central America (DR-CAFTA), while warning that all imported products must be treated with the same guidelines as local goods.
The document was delivered by American Chamber of Commerce president Kevin Manning to Andres Bautista Garcia and Alfredo Pacheco, presidents of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, respectively.
Manning explained that the guidelines were elaborated by the Chamber’s legal committee, wherein necessary steps are delineated in order to comply with the agreement.
“These [guidelines] are more than anything else an administrative collaboration aimed at assisting in the application of the [DR-CAFTA] accord, said Manning.I stay current on Americans for Legal Immigration PAC's fight to Secure Our Border and Send Illegals Home via E-mail Alerts (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP)
