    California on the brink.

    CofCC.org news Team

Tens of thousands of violent criminals may be released. 90 million dollars worth of welfare checks, food stamps, and other social services have been delayed for 30 days. Millions of Californians could receive IOU certificates instead of state income tax rebates.

The state of California has already slashed hours for nearly a quarter of a million state employees. The equivalent of a 9% pay cut for state employees. Now the Governor says he will have to lay off 10,000 workers Friday unless the state legislature makes a deal in time.

Due to union regulations it takes many months to actually fire a person. The state department says it would have to send out 20,000 pink slips, in hopes getting half that number off the payroll by July 1st, 2009.

Three radical left wing judges have ordered the state to release 57,000 prisoners claiming that the conditions at the prisons are too crowded. A panel of three judges, one black and two Jewish, have ordered a mass release of prisoners. California has over 170,000 state prisoners, including tens of thousands of some of the most violent gang members in the nation.

To release 57,000 prisoners at a time when the job market has vanished and social services has completely broken down would be a catastrophe. Not to mention that escalating violence in Mexico is pushing a new wave of illegal aliens into California. A combination of starving poor and violent narcotics traffickers.

California’s brutal over regulation of business and super high state income tax, has sent middle class whites and business owners packing. Meanwhile roofing, construction, and other companies are rapidly moving to the cash only, underground economy and simply not paying taxes.

Several counties, with the highest percentages on welfare, are threatening to withhold state money adding to the woes of the state legislature.

YEARS, if you work for the govt. I've heard New York has a "rubber room" where teachers sit and do nothing, because they aren't allowed to teach and they can't be fired. IT costs MILLIONS a year for this insane absurdity!

And yet Mexifornia spends 12 billion annually on illegal alien health care, welfare, food stamps, education, social security, unemployment assistance, home heating and other assistance for them while thousands more pour across the border every week. And I also heard that Obama may try to balance the budget on the backs of senior citizens by cutting social security payments....What's next....military retirement???????
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.

California wants a bailout, but they can't put 2+2 together. While they continue to fund services to illegals from the state and funding sanctuary cities for their support of illegals in local services, while these illegals work under the table and don't pay taxes, has no one figured out that may be drain on the coffers? Not to mention the continual population pressure not only expends monies, but puts a heck of a lot of pressure on silly little resources like water.

I can only hope the celebrities are the first ones targeted. Why not, they have money.

I hope they start with Tina Fay first. Hate to say it, but that's how I feel.

Including Arnold. He's done a poor job with the whole entire state.

Seems Arnold is getting what he deserves. [/b]

Heard on the radio they reached a deal where all of our taxes are going up. Gas tax, income tax, sales tax, car tax, everything. A lot of companies and people will leave CA because of it so they won't collect any more taxes than they are now, they will still have the same budget hole because they refuse to cut spending.

It would seem (sadly) that the reconquista is almost complete. How can the MSM still ignore the story of the costs of Illegal Aliens in California?

It was on the news that California refused to release these prisoners, saying it would take a Supreme court judge to make them do it.
