Four illegal aliens were ordered jailed Thursday on a combined $18 million bond after police say they caught them with 16 kilos of cocaine and $175,000 in cash.

Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Lisa Allen set the high bonds - the smallest was $4 million - after hearing of the large amount of drugs and money on the four Mexicans when they were arrested.

All were charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs or conspiracy to traffic drugs.

Assistant prosecutor Betsy Sundermann had asked for bonds of $1 million on each because none of the men had a verified identity. The judge also ordered that if the bonds are made, the accused must get electronic monitoring while under house arrest.

Charged were:

Candelario Navarro, 43, who has lived in this area for one year with his wife and child, his attorney said. He is unemployed. His bond is $6 million.

Benjamin Rolden, a Chipotle restaurant employee. His bond was $4 million.

Refugio Garcia. His bond was set at $4 million.

Manuel Magana, who police said had $175,000 in cash when arrested. His bond was set at $4 million.

The arrests were made by the Regional Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
