A man convicted of molesting a 5-year-old girl could face life in prison, the Cobb County District Attorney’s office said Friday. And if he’s ever released from prison, he will be deported.
A jury convicted Eduardo Sebastian Hernandez, 34, of a Marietta address, on one count of aggravated child molestation and three counts of child molestation Thursday evening, according to Kim Isaza with the DA’s office.
The crimes occurred over several months in late 2010 and in 2011, according to his arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The victim, whose name was not released, was 5 years old at the time, the warrant states.
“This defendant took advantage of a little girl living in his home,” Assistant DA Chuck Boring said in an emailed statement. “The girl is 7 now and doing well in school. The family is happy to close this chapter of their lives and move on.”
Hernandez was arrested Aug. 16, 2011, and has remained in the Cobb County jail without bond, booking records show. Hernandez will be sentenced on April 15 at 1:30 p.m., Isaza said. Hernandez could face life in prison plus 60 years.
“The defendant is in this country illegally and once he is done serving his prison sentence, he will be deported,” Boring said.

He will be deported long before that. Then he will be able to sneak back in our country with a new fake id, until he is caught again or kills someone.
