U.S. not alone in America

I find it so controversial for U.S. citizens to refer to Mexicans in the United States as Mexican-Americans because Mexico is, and has been, on the continent of North America longer than the United States, and its citizens are by nature Americans as well. Call us United States Mexicans.

What's all this whining about Mexican immigrants in the United States taking too long to assimilate when in 200 years the United States still doesn't assimilate to the rest of the world by identifying itself, worldwide, by its continental name rather than its national name?

America is a continent of many flags, not just the Stars and Stripes. The American eagle flies all over the continent, not as the property of one nation. My U.S.-issued passport identifies the bearer of that document as "United States citizen," not American citizen. The buttons on my U.S. Army uniform had the letters "U.S." embossed on them. You don't like the national name United States? Blame the so-called fathers of this country. You expect respect? Show respect to the Spanish-speaking American nations.

This pinhead thinks we shouldn't be called Americans because America is not the only country on the North American continent. Name one other country in the world with America in it's title? It's not the United States of North America is it? People form the United Mexican States are known to as Mexicans, so why shouldn't people form the United States of America be called Americans. Can't these people just be Americans?

Mexico is not now nor has ever been any part of these United States. My passport say United States of America, not United nations of America. Mexicans demand respect? Then FIX your own country and leave OUR UNITED STATES the hell alone!

It doesn't say a damn thing about Mexico in here does it!!! I think someone is having an identity crises!
