NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — The Northborough Tea Party will be hosting a seminar on January 17 detailing the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in December 2010 and the illegal weapons used to kill him.

Guest speaker Jim Wallace, Executive Director of the Gun Owners Action League, blames the Obama Administration and the Justice Department, accusing them of stonewalling the investigation into how illegal immigrants managed to acquire the weapons in question.

The ATF's "Fast and Furious" program has come under fire of late, as critics and ATF whistleblowers have alleged that the program encouraged gun dealers to sell to Mexican drug traffickers in the hopes that they would, in turn, take on more powerful cartels. Those same critics say that this practice put thousands of weapons on the streets.

Says Northborough resident Marie Nieber, “It is critically important that we understand what ‘Fast & Furious’ is all about—it’s another example of the Obama Administration’s incompetence and dishonesty. We citizens should be the ones who are furious.”

The seminar, which is open to the public, will be held at the Northborough Senior Center at 7 p.m.
