U.S. Customs and Border Patrol inspectors arrested an illegal immigrant from Mexico who posed as a U.S. citizen trying to cross the border. Marco Castro, a native of Tlaxcala, was placed under arrest and sent to the Webb County Jail.

According to the case report, Castro arrived at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge aboard a passenger bus and claimed to be born in Marietta, Georgia, when he was questioned about his nationality.

The officer on duty noticed something strange in Castro's statement and decided to send him to secondary inspection. The IDENT identification system was able to determine that Castro was an illegal immigrant from Mexico who had been previously deported in December 2008 in Brownsville, Texas.
