An undocumented immigrant was sentenced to over seven years in prison on Monday for illegally reentering the United States after a prior deportation.

Officials say 43-year-old Dario Romo-Bravo was previously deported from the U.S. on September 19, 2006 and instructed not to return to the U.S. unlawfully.

Romo-Bravo was found near Phoenix on July 29, 2007 after re-entering the country.

Reports indicate Romo-Bravo is a repeat offender who has been convicted for several felonies including Illegal Re-Entry After Deportation, Theft, Burglary in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Third Degree, and Endangerment.

He also has 16 misdemeanor convictions in the U.S., including convictions for assault, shoplifting, burglary from a vehicle, criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.

Romo-Bravo pleaded guilty on March 6, 2008, to Illegal Re-Entry After a Prior Deportation and was sentenced to 87 months in prison on Monday.
