CBP Officers in Minnesota Apprehend Stowaway in Rail Car
(Wednesday, July 08, 2009)
Noyes, Minn. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Noyes, Minn., intercepted a Canadian Citizen on July 5, who was riding aboard a railroad car after illegally entering the United States from Canada.
The rail rider attempted to enter the U.S. illegally when the train passed through a CBP gamma imaging station where CBP officers spotted the rider’s outline aboard a hopper car. The rider was immediately taken into custody, processed as an inadmissible alien and returned to Canadian Border Services Agency.
The attention to detail demonstrated by CBP officers working on our gamma imaging system at the rail yard led to this apprehension,â€NO AMNESTY
