Criminals evade authorities after fatal shooting near Alton

NEAR ALTON — A 31-year-old man was shot to death and his neighbor took a bullet in the groin early Tuesday morning during a break-in near Alton.

The home invasion at the house of Gerardo Espinoza happened about midnight Monday at 2700 Limon Drive, near the intersection of 5 Mile Line and La Homa Roads, said Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño.

At least two men broke through the gate on Espinoza’s driveway, stormed into the man’s house and fatally shot him, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday. After arriving on the scene, they found Espinoza’s body and about 2,000 pounds of marijuana stashed inside his garage.

Soon after authorities arrived, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper who was unaware of the slaying attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a northbound pickup truck registered to Espinoza, the sheriff said.

The south of the Border ILLEGAL invaders are moving North along with their "family values" our past President often proudly stated. Again and again he stated the U.S. was lucky that the ILLEGALS didn't leave their family values south of the Border while they continue to invade the United States. Of course he failed to mention all of the murders, drugs, rapes and various other values the ILLEGAL invasion would produce. The violence will scurry North into our Nation the same as the ILLEGAL invaders have been successful in accomplishing; but not to worry the Special Interest Groups and Political Contributors will continue to prosper with their cheap labor furnished to the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS by the ILLEGAL invaders.

P.S. Read the source article newspaper and be amazed at the number of other articles concerning murders and other continued violence in just that small section of the Border!

I've lived on and near the border 30 years and see the "family values" first hand and it is a joke, this wave of values has moved into central Texas and the crimes,hit runs, and simply plain rudeness is overwhelming.

Simply more of mexico's finest, invading this country and engaging in the lawlessness they seem to thrive on! Its happening in every city across this country and our elected officials are sitting on their collective @$$es.

I wonder if Janet Ann Napolitano even reads the newspaper.

The "family values" has moved into North Texas as well. If you are a white, English speaking person, you are an outcast. Illegal anchor kids that speak NO English will be integrated with my daughter's 1st grade class. Only 10 years ago, it was not necessary for have ESL programs, but since they invaded our neighborhood in DROVES, not only do we have to pay for ESL programs, but the Ft Worth Police Department was forced to open up a station in my quiet neighborhood because of the rising crime. Now every night, I am awakened to the sound of police helicopters and sirens.

I just don't see the "family values" thing. I've seen an incredible about of mendacity, violence, rudeness and lack of civility. They abuse their spouses and children. They abuse animals like crazy. They aren't even kind enough to kill the poor things. They seem to enjoy torturing them.

I don't know why anyone would say they have strong family values. I see them stick together in large groups. I think that is more to intimidate than because they have "values".

I think it's to whitewash a really bad situation that people are making money on.

True enough, our past President would say anything to secure Blanket Amnesty for the ILLEGALS. Our current President does not seem as out front in his support for Blanket Amnesty and it may make him even more dangerous.
