CBP Officers Seize $10 Million in Cocaine Hidden within Bus at Laredo Port

Laredo, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Laredo, Texas port of entry seized a significant load of cocaine valued at $10 million during an inspection of a commercial bus this weekend.

The cocaine seizure occurred Saturday at the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge. A CBP officer referred a 2001 Irizair bus driven by a 36-year-old Mexican citizen from Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico for a secondary inspection. During the inspection, imaging system indicated anomalies in the center console and floor area.
