A quarter of Sonoma County's 483,878 residents are now Latino, a burgeoning group that grew by 40,912 people in the past 10 years, according to data released today from the federal government's 2010 decennial census count.

The county's white population, now 320,027 residents, declined by 21,659 people from 341,686 people in 2000. That's a drop of 6.3 percent.

In contrast, the Latino population grew by 52 percent, from 79,511 to 120,430.

Local Latino residents interviewed Tuesday said they were not surprised by the census results and the increase of the Latino population in particular.

The question should be. "What percentage of these people are illegal foreign nationals from Latin Countries?"

Ditto! I don’t see how this country survives another 10 years of this, given the shocking transformation that has occurred over the past twenty years. The amnesty of 1986 set the wheels in motion for all of this. What a huge mistake that was!

It’s getting to the point where they will not even need an amnesty. They will simply continue to flood this country illegally and do what they do best which is breed. While they continue to wage a political battle against this country, the border remains wide open for them to enter illegally and have babies. This is how they are winning and nobody is stopping it.

Who do you think millions of la raza anchor babies are going to be loyal to once they can vote? IMHO, we are rapidly reaching the point of no return on this issue....
