Arrest of Immigrant in Texas Church was Godless Act

ICE Agent Likely Violated Agency Rules, Leaked Memo Shows

The arrest last fall of an undocumented immigrant in a Texas house of worship by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent has sparked a growing controversy that essentially pits the power of Caesar against the church.

The immigrant, 31-year-old Jose Juan Hernandez, who has lived in the United States since age 6, is not the ideal poster boy for such a moral crusade, given he has been deported three times previously and also has prior state convictions for attempted possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated.

But in this case, it’s not Hernandez’ background, but rather the place of the arrest, a Texas church in Montgomery, Texas, located near Houston, that is fueling the outrage. There is nearly universally acceptance across human cultures that it is taboo to violate the perceived sanctity of a religious ceremony.

In addition, beyond the religious overtones coloring this particular immigration action, it appears that the federal agent who arrested Hernandez may also have violated his own agency’s policies — as outlined in an ICE memo detailing the agency’s procedures for enforcement actions “at or near sensitive community locations.â€

Yep, you can run and you can hide, but ICE is going to get you! This hit out local media for a couple fo day. They tried hard to get local sympathy but the only ones crying were his illegal alien friends who though this was so unfair. They say the church should be a sanctuary. Perhaps the "church" didn't want himi there either.

"How did they know he had not become legal?"

After returning having been deported three times are you kidding?[/b]
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Okay, just for the sake of splitting hairs.........as the pro-illegal advocacy is so fond of doing........the guy was not arrested IN church.

The agent quietly asked him to step out, which the fugitive did willingly......or stupidly, depending upon one's perspective of the incident.......and was arrested OUTSIDE. In the parking lot.

Someone want to explain to me where this violated the sanctity of the church because......yawn.....I'm not seeing it

Yup!! That there is a great PosterBoy for illegals! LOL

the ICE agent burst into the church, grabbed Hernandez — placing him in a painful martial arts hold — and then dragged him out of the sanctuary and hauled him off to jail.
Opposed to having your head cut off, seems like Justice to me...
Sounds like the illegals are too fraile to be Americans.

They do love to lie and twist the truth, don't they? The original article said the agent tapped him on the shoulder and asked him to step outside, which he did. He was then questioned...martial arts hold and dragged him outside...what a load of hooey!! Isn't lying un-Godly too???
