Whoa! hold up there NO one that I have read in this group supports globalism, nor do others who are not in this group that I have spoken with.
Xanadu, Unless you are the CEO of WalMart or GM, I was not referring to you or anyone else in this group. But anyone who buys from WalMart does support globalism in an indirect way. Are you saying that absolutely no one on this board shops at WalMart?

wep561 is right, anytime we buy anything that is "Made in [not America]", we participate in a global market. I admit right now I'm mostly ignorant to all specifics of NAFTA. It seems, so far, that liberals, socialists, charities, poor people seem to hate it, and, as usual, the rich businessmen -- who tend to get very quiet when they know they're in the thick of it, and they stick together very hard -- seem to like it. Not necessarily an out and out bad thing, but it doesn't look good, either.

We like stuff cheap but we haven't been paying attention to all the consequences of having that demand met by crafty businesses. I know, families out there are wondering, well how in the heck are you going to feed yourselves without going broke. I could make a lot of very cheeky suggestions here. :P But I'll be nice. I'll just say what I'm doing: eating very little fast food (and noticing the following benefits: spending less money, losing weight (hey now), and worrying less about my food being clean).

But I'm not demoralized, we can correct course. We must first get border security nailed down, like it should have been 9/12/01. We need to keep the pro-illegals and open-border types from trying to make a properly secured border a NAFTA solution. Amercia's immigration laws are not the cure for NAFTA, but pro-illegals are trying to convince us that it is.
