It's quite obvious that Chertoff (i.e., Bush) still wants amnesty, and is hoping that even the few show raids that they have done will be enough to get more businesses to push for amnesty.

Then maybe we ought to keep up our contact with Chertoffs office, to be sure we have not gotten lax and/or forgotten, hold the feds and his feet to the fire.

One time when my mother was living with me, I heard her tell my cat, "Go get bent, Tinker." You know how you're trying to drink your coffee and the cat starts to rub your hand and you spill the coffee? haha
I chuckle when I hear that phrase. Thanks for the memories.......If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.

04-15-2008, 12:55 PM #15Chertoff defended the actions of his agency, which oversees Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
"We're enforcing the law as it is, but Congress has not yet given us the authority to really expand the temporary worker program," he said in the Tuesday interview. "If we could do that, then most of these businesses could find legal solutions."
Something as easy as an expiration date on their "legal" licenses would help.If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down their guns there will be no more Israel.
