Thread: Chicago Tribune Bias

This weekend the Chicago Tribune carried a full page article about a woman who had married an Albanian who was being deported for having entered this country with a fraudulent passport and had been denied asylum. She was complaining how bad her life would be if she had to follow him back to Albania. How this person got to have an entire cover page of a feature section of the paper was amazing till you realize the Tribune is only supporting the banner of BIG BUSINESS. Since the Tribune doesn't really cover both sides of the immigration debate fairly- wouldn't it make sense to run ads in the paper to inform the public there are sites that offer another perspective. Isn't this what big business does when the run ads to have the public contact their elected officials to support the goals the companies are pushing for?

First of all, welcome to ALIPAC Principal. Since you are concerned about illegal immigration and the negative effects it has on all aspects of our country, you are in the right place. We support LEGAL immigration and are adamanately opposed to ILLEGAL immigration without any bias to race, creed or color. As for the Mainstream Media (MSM), they, for the most part, have agendas completely opposed to ours. Their newspapers, TV stations and magazines are all under major corporate control. The elites who own the media are the ones who stand to profit the most from illegal immigration and they are also the ones who send corporate donations to polticians that legislate their bidding and to ethnocentric racist groups, such as LaRaza, that promote their goals.
I would highly recommend that, if feasible in your schedule, you watch Lou Dobbs on CNN every weekday from 6-7 ET. He is the only MSM reporter who stands up to the "corporate crush" and provides insight and analysis you simply will not find anywhere else on TV. Keep active on this board and you will find the "secondary media" websites and articles from bloggers, etc. that will give you information that you can use in formulating you opinions and keeping up on stories that you will not see elsewhere.

I just got off the phone after doing and interview with the Chicago Tribune. Let's hope they treat us fairly with the article coming out tomorrow about our Shop in Waukegan Day and Grayslake event this weekend.
