Thread: Child injured in Brookline crash, illegal immigrant driver faces DUI

BROOKLINE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A five year old child is recovering after a crash involving a man who police accuse of driving drunk, crashing the car, and then fleeing the scene. Authorities also say that driver is an illegal immigrant driving without a license.

Police responded to the corner of South and Newton Street in Brookline just after 10 P.M. on Friday on reports of a crash. When they arrived to the scene, police discovered a car had hit a utility pole. A man was sitting outside of the car holding an injured young child.

Witnesses at the scene told police another man had walked away from the crash. Soon after, police found the man near the intersection of Grove and West Roxbury Parkway.

Officers arrested Luis Parraga, 37, of Roxbury and charged him with OUIL, leaving the scene of a crash causing injury, and operating without a license. An ICE detainer has been requested for Parraga as authorities claim he is an illegal immigrant from Mexico.

The male passenger, 25-year-old William Gomez, is charged with allowing through wanton or reckless conduct, substantial bodily injury to a child, and allowing an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

Gomez is identified as the owner of the vehicle and legal guardian of the child.

The child underwent surgery at Children’s Hospital on Friday night. Police say he is in critical, but stable condition.

Investigators are continuing to probe the crash.

This is a few times now in Mass where there are illegal's causing harm. Remember the young man who was draged beneath a vehical of a drunken driver alien and the mayor said it wasn't an illegal immigration issue, it was an issue of drunken driving? There was another case after that and now this child be hitting. All illegals involved!!!!

It happens in every State of the Union....I am surprised there even saying he is illegal.....this needs to spread all over the place people need to notice all this ..what is the saying...
