Child-smuggling attempt at Nogales border gets woman prison term

A Mexican woman was sentenced to more than a year in prison after she tried to smuggle a 4-year-old boy into the United States in exchange for a medical device.
Maria del Rosario Hernandez-Rodriguez, 29, told authorities that a friend asked her to cross with the boy in exchange for a nebulizer, which she estimated to be worth $300, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona.
“She stated that she needed the medical device for her 9-year-old son who suffers from asthma,â€

Gee and I thought that she was kidnapping the boy.
Not just transporting an illegal alien child that did not belong to her.
Too light of a sentence
