Thread: Children cross Mexican border to receive a U.S. education

So property owners pay property taxes for schools. Taxpayers through the Federal government subsidize the schools and Mexicans get it for free. Something is very wrong with this considering all the Money Mexico is making off of this country already. Children are their parent's responsibility, not the government of where ever they managed to have them. More Mexican birthright scams.

The students are American citizens, by way of anchor-baby citizenship.

Their parents are Mexicans.

They all live in Mexico.

Mexico does not sent the kids to school in New Mexico.

The parents send their kids to school in New Mexico

because New Mexico officials allow them to.

And the New Mexico taxpayers/voters allow this to go on for decades.

U.S. taxpayer money is also spent on their education.

This is the only place that I know of

that allows students who don't live in the school district

to get a free education at taxpayer expense.

Nearly three out of four students at Columbus Elementary, the school closest to the border, live in Palomas and were born to Mexican parents.

The Palomas children are American because of a long-standing state and federal policy that allows Mexican women to deliver their babies at the nearest hospital, which happens to be 30 miles north of the border in Deming, N.M., the seat of Luna County.
