Stupid Arnie and stupid democrats! Deport ALL illegal immigrants and the CA buget will be fine. I noticed most of those school children were Hispanic and it makes me wonder how many are children of illegal immigrants. The entire problem could be fixed by enforcing immigration laws and using E-verify. Americans are fed up and are not going to continue to pay taxes that are dealt out to programs for illegal aliens.

I believe welfare is the second largest expenditure in this state and if we're in violation of federal law by allowing illegals and others to continue to collect that should be one of the first areas to cut. Chop chop chop.

This state took more money in than ever last year, I heard. So where is it going? Mostly to the schools who in some areas have a graduation rate of 55% in high schools. Our schools are doing such a great job with this money eh?

I don't mind taxes if they are used right but this legislature is wacko and I don't believe many of them know what they are doing. They certainly can't handle a budget. We had extra money in the past during good years and did they put it aside? No, they spent it!

Thank goodness for some of the sensible outspoken brave ones like Chuck Devore.

Well vrooder, maybe the Americans moving out of CA may just give them a big wake up call. The illegals sure aren't going to fill in the tax gap that the Americans are paying. Tiger Woods has left California and another wealthy people. They are taking their businesses with them. We met another couple from the Riverside area and they said they are leaving and taking their business with them. They are CA born and raised and have had it. CA legislators have bilked the citizens for decades now and they think they can continue they way they have. Well, I guess they are counting on amnesty. Doesn't matter. The majority of those are uneducated and will never have the tax paying level of most of those leaving.

Did you know that Utah has a budget surplus. They are against illegal immigration for the most part and are fiscally conservative state. There is no sales tax in Oregon and Nevada has no state income tax. Looking for states that can accommodate American citizens and want their business and their tax revenues. CA sure doesn't care.

With a $42 billion deficit I'd have to wonder how Calif. will ever dig itself out from under it. As for Devore I'm skeptical. I've heard this kind of talk before. Wilson said the same thing. He won. Wilson diid basically nothing. But he deserves some credit for trying.

Well, remember he is running for the US Senate seat not the CA senate seat. We need more like him with Sessions, Inhofe, Vitter, DeMint, etc. on our side.

I'm willing to support him but I am still skeptical. I don't trust professional politicians. They tell us for example that we must amend the Federal Constitution to stop anchor babies. But the truth is it could be done with just a law. They tell us we can't have a national initiative and referendum because it isn't in the Federal Constitution. But the truth is there is nothing that would prohibit it in the Constitution. And I could go on and on. How can we trust people like that? In the meantime everything in the U S is going in the wrong direction and nobody can do anything about it. We don't have the rule of law in this country anymore, just the rule of politicians.
