Cicero woman's remains found 2 mos. after fire

Cicero woman's remains found 2 months after fire

    December 27, 2006
    BY LISA DONOVAN Staff Reporter
The skeletal remains of a 40-year-old woman have been discovered in her west suburban home, two months after what authorities called a purposely set fire killed her and her 6-year-old son.
On Monday night, a landlord was working on a rental home in the 1800 block of 57th Street in Cicero and came across what turned out to be the skeletal remains of a foot belonging to the late Raquel Perez, according to Cicero police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Perez and her young son, Cesar Yamato, died in the October blaze allegedly set by the woman dating her older son.

Sonia Labron, 25, is awaiting trial on aggravated arson and felony murder charges.

Labron says she and her boyfriend -- Perez's son, who also lived in the residence -- set the blaze to scare Perez into moving out of Cicero and returning to Mexico.

Perez's son has not been charged and has been missing since the fire, authorities said Tuesday.

Oh ya......along with a few more I'm sure that have been in the papers lately. Well the one they found in Moline....he committed suicide.....but there has been a few murders since Christmas around here and 1 give away is "they fled on foot". Lived in the home with various other family members from Mexico etc. How can people live in a small apartment or house with numerous family members and not know anything?

You got that right. With so many people in one residence, they all know each others business. They won't admit it though.
