NAPLES, Fla. -- Forty-two cents won't get you very far these days, but for a Southwest Florida man, it was enough to send him to jail.

Naples police say 43-year-old Laslo Mujzer swiped $.42 from the Coastland Center Mall in Naples on Monday. Officers arrested Mujzer after a mall customer saw him fishing around in the fountain.

A sign attached to the fountain said that all coins thrown into the water are donated to Habitat for Humanity.

Mujzer was charged with petty theft under $100, a misdemeanor, then booked into the Collier County Jail. Sheriff's officials on Wednesday said a judge had released Mujzer on his own recognizance but said he was in jail on an immigration hold.
