Man arrested on sex assault charges

Authorities have arrested a locally employed man on charges of sexual assault, with another charge of attempted sexual assault possible.
Abraham Cortez-Jimenez, 25, was arrested Wednesday for an alleged incident that took place late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office investigators are not revealing details of the case, as it is still under investigation, but one of two alleged victims reported the incident, investigator Ron Ryan said.
Cortez-Jimenez is contesting the charges, said attorney Jeff Wertz, who is representing Cortez-Jimenez.
