WHY CAN'T THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BE MOBILIZED TOO ?

Somehow I do not think this is going to be a big issue. One million applying for citizenship, doesn't mean they all make it by a long shot.
Further, it all gets down to the numbers, the only way latino's will matter as a group is if those that do not have the legal right to vote start voting and alot of them. They do that and they start risking the numbers being off, like more latinos voting then can be legal. Which will trigger it being looked at closer, even registering to vote when not a citizen is reason for deportation, much less voting.
If it does have an effect, thats when to start the foia and number crunching, which I rely on those that do it best, to do.

I think it is possible for our government to make any number citizens without our knowledge.
Also, who is going to keep track of the ethnicity of the voters? I realize we hear all this about who voted for whom - but only if it fits the agenda.
Would the parties keep track of how many voted? I can't imagine they would? Would the government? I don't think so.
Don't dismis this.
We simply must get together and decide to vote for one of the three candidates that are against illegal immigration and stay with him. We can't get bogged down in looking for the perfect candidate - he doesn't exist.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Since one of their excuses for being illegal is that it is to hard and takes years and years to become American citizens how in the world do they expect to be citizens in 2008. Do they think just by applying for citizenship they are automatically allowed to vote? Are they expecting to jump in front of the line? Is this a cover story for them voting illegally, are we supposed to think that they have all actually legal. I smell a rat!!

Have you heard of the SAVE ACT, HR 4088 ?
It was just introduced this week with 90 cosponsors. About 45 from each party. More details can be found at Numbers USA or Google it.
IMO, we need this legislation. It will force ALL companies to verify ALL social security numbers of ALL employees. It's phased in over (4) years and provides additional funds for a border fence.
I urge everyone to contact their Congressman and ask them to become a cosponsor. Wouldn't it be great if this came to a vote in the House ?
Yesterday, I called all the congressmen & women in OH. Some of the office claimed to not know about it. Todsay I sent a fax to all of the same Congressmen. Can this site provide 49 more volunteers for the other states ?
Please help in this effort. Contact yr congressmsn and/or use Numbers USA to send them a fax. If you have any questions, pls email me. Thks.

I already contacted my Congress on this, but being in Illinois it won't make much difference in the Senate.
One thing I have decided, is although I am not a issue voter, I have always voted Democrat, I will not vote Democrat, and I will vote on the immigration issue. I also talk with others about poltics, so of those that were planning to vote Democrat as usual, I can say I have at least 10 that now plan to vote Republican based on immigration.
Illegal immigration is costing American hospitals billions of...
