Cornyn said on the floor that Americans were "affraid" they could not compete with Mexican drivers as far as wages. DUH, what is this man smokeing.

We all know this is about a whole lot of subjects and the more reason it does not happen.

Safety for American citizens, Illegal aliens, Drugs, terrorist, dirty bombs, loss of American drivers jobs.

Drivers can not compete with the wages Mexicans are being paid( It has not a damn thing to do with being affraid, Idiot) Well maybe it does, Drivers afraid of not being able to pay their rent (house payment) feed their children) further their childrens education, save for retirement, clothe their children, ect.

Our drivers do have a right to those jobs, like it or not "Corporation Cornyn" they are American citizens and have a right to the jobs! get it!

We are getting sick of our lawmakers not taking us U.S. citizens in to consideration, we will no longer be second to any in our own country.

This nut case has to go for sure in 2008!!!

Opposing the Senate action, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) said, "This is not about safety. . . . It's apparently about protectionism. . . . It's fear of free trade."
OH and Cornyn you are right, this is about protectionism....I am an active protectionist, I am trying to protect......my town, state, country, culture, language, job, wages/salary, home, neighborhood, most of all my children, grandchildren, their future and my fellow Americans!!!

If you have a problem with this please stop pretending you are protecting America and the American people and get out of office!!!

Tuesday's vote could heighten U.S.-Mexican tensions, which are already strained by the debate over illegal immigration, especially Washington's plans for 700 miles of fence along the border.

Mexican Secretary of the Economy Eduardo Sojo said in a letter to U.S. senators that President Felipe Calderon's administration was "deeply troubled" by efforts to block the program.
There will always be heightened "U.S.-Mexican tensions", as long as our government and the Mexican government (if you can call it that) keep making deals without any consideration other than their stuffing their own pockets.
"President Felipe Calderon's administration was "deeply troubled" ....
    WHO CARES!
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
