    On June 28th, in the U.S. Senate, the Bush-Kennedy Immigration Bill, S. 1639 was defeated, by being voted down on a cloture vote.

    In Mexico, where U.S. immigration legislation is followed closely, the Senate vote was almost immediately slammed by Mexican president Felipe Calderon, who called it a “grave errorâ€

    Mexican leaders should respect the decision, and use their energy to concentrate on improving the Mexican economy.

    It is time for America to get into a period of low immigration. We need to determine how many jobs are in america and which jobs americans will do. We need to look at the industry and their profit and determine if they should raise the wage and provide benefits. If there is very little profit then we look at it to determine why and how it can be supported to provide jobs for americans.
