Constitution Party to host national convention in Phoenix this weekend

The Constitution Party will host a national conference in Phoenix, Ariz. Oct. 23-24 for Constitution Party members and all those interested in a return to limited, Constitutional government.

The fast-growing party is responding to the vast number of Americans seeking an alternative to the "Big Box" political party agenda which has led the United States into debt, unconstitutional wars and bigger and more intrusive government.

Former U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) will be the keynote speaker on Friday at 7:00 p.m. local time. Tancredo’s remarks are entitled: "Throw the Bums Out!"

Tancredo, a former Republican US Representative and presidential candidate has distinguished himself for his opposition to his party on a number of hot button issues. Tancredo broke with President George H.W. Bush over the president’s policies of lax border security and Bush’s push for amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Tancredo was called a "traitor" by White House advisor Karl Rove for speaking out against the GOP’s immigration agenda. Tancredo has further bucked his party by pushing for lower taxes, the abolition of the IRS and the income tax, as well as the federal Department of Education.

Other confirmed speakers at the Constitution Party Phoenix meeting include New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi, Ph.D. Corsi’s best sellers include: The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, and Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry.

Corsi, a Harvard graduate, is a staff reporter for WorldNetDaily. His latest book is America for Sale: Fighting the New World Order, Surviving a Global Depression and Preserving USA Sovereignty. Corsi will speak Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:15 a.m. on "Tea parties, Town Halls and the 10th Amendment- The Battle for Limited Government Heats Up".

"This conference is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic yet. The speakers are top notch, our members are mobilized as never before and there’s an unprecedented level of interest in the Constitution Party as an alternative to the parties now controlling our government," said

Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer.

Other speakers at the two day event include:

Noted health researcher and author Bill Sardi, who will address healthcare reform from a constitutional standpoint and discuss the government and media hype surrounding the Swine Flu.

Constitutional scholar and political commentator Joel Skousen will explain the forces that control our government.

2008 Constitution Party presidential candidate, pastor and political commentator Chuck Baldwin and vice presidential candidate Darrell Castle.

Former Arizona state senator Karen Johnson will address the state legislature’s role in fighting big government.

Wish I could go. I really like the Constitution Party. They are against the illegal invasion, unlike some more open-borders libertarian third parties. Like the National Libertarian Party, for one.

The Rep's have been voting againt the horrible Dem bills....

I think a third party could win in the next election, the American people are tired of not being listened to and respected by both parties.

    PS
Even thought a third party could take the next election, it does seem that the Rep's have learnded their lesson ( except a few traitors like Snowe).
The Dems have become drunk with power, corruption and greed.
